Introduction
Remayn ("we," "us," "our") is an AI-powered digital inheritance platform that helps people register what they own so their family always knows where to find it. This policy explains what information we collect when you use the Remayn app, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
By creating a Remayn account you agree to the collection and use of information as described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
Data we collect
We collect the information you give us directly, including:
- Account information: full name, email address, phone number, date of birth, country, and nationality.
- Asset records: the categories, names, institutions, and reference details of the assets you register (bank accounts, property, mobile money, crypto wallets, investments, and similar). We ask you not to store live passwords, PINs, or seed phrases. Store only hints for where that information is kept.
- Next of kin details: the name, relationship, phone number, email address, and country of the people you designate.
- Activity data: when you open the app, your chosen inactivity threshold, and monitoring status, so we can tell whether you're still active.
- Device information: a push notification token and general platform (iOS/Android), used to reach you with alerts.
How we use your data
We use the information we collect to:
- Operate your vault and keep your registered assets up to date.
- Monitor your activity against your chosen inactivity threshold and send you check-in reminders and warnings.
- Generate and deliver a disclosure to your next of kin if, and only if, monitoring confirms extended inactivity.
- Send transactional email and push notifications about your account.
- Respond to support requests and improve the product.
Data sharing
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share your asset details with anyone while your account is active and you are checking in normally.
The only circumstance in which your registered information is shared is a confirmed disclosure: if our monitoring system determines you have been inactive beyond your chosen threshold and you have not responded to warning alerts, the next of kin you designated receive a guided disclosure of the assets you registered for them, so they know where to start.
We share limited data with service providers who help us run the app, including email delivery, push notifications, cloud hosting, and AI letter drafting, solely to provide those services on our behalf, under obligations to protect your data.
Data security
Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access to asset records is restricted to your account; next of kin cannot see any of your information until a disclosure is triggered. We use row-level access controls so that, under normal operation, only you can read or modify your own records.
No system is perfectly secure. We work to protect your information but cannot guarantee absolute security, particularly for information you choose to store yourself (for example, a password hint you write in plain language).
Your rights
You can, at any time from within the app:
- View, edit, or delete any asset or next-of-kin record you've added.
- Update your profile information.
- Pause monitoring with Travel Mode.
- Request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local data protection law (such as access, correction, portability, or objection). Contact us and we'll help.
Platform disclaimer
Please read this section carefully. It applies to everything above.
- Remayn does not provide legal, financial, or tax advice. Nothing in the app or in a disclosure letter is legal advice.
- Remayn is not a will, is not a substitute for one, and does not have any legal effect on the distribution of your estate. You should still make a will through the proper legal process in your country.
- Disclosure letters may be drafted with the help of AI. AI-generated content can be incomplete or inaccurate, and should be treated as a starting point, not a final or authoritative document.
- We do our best to detect inactivity and deliver a disclosure reliably, but we cannot guarantee that a disclosure will always be triggered, delivered, or delivered on time, for reasons including but not limited to outages, incorrect contact details, or errors in the information you provided.
